Johns Hopkins NIH study reveals early activity and mobility can shorten length of stay. Clinicians can now have mobile parallel bars to encourage patients to confidently stand as soon as possible. This can reduce compounding conditions related to immobility such as respiratory, muscle atrophy, thrombosis, and bed sores. Getting to the rehabilitation gym is challenging if not impossible.
