The Corival Eccentric is a specialized ergometer designed for eccentric, or “negative,” training, primarily used for severe pulmonary and cardiac patients.
In this mode, the motor drives the crank axle in the opposite direction, and the patient resists the movement to maintain a selected pedal frequency, producing the desired training effect.
The system allows a maximum eccentric workload of 250 watts, with target RPM adjustable between 30 and 100 and customizable during training.
The Corival Eccentric retains the classic Corival design, combining the motorized eccentric function with the standard electromagnetic braking principle, and can also be used for conventional ergometry.
Safety protections are integrated, but supervised use is required.
The ergometer is supplied with both a 7-inch programmable control unit and a 3.5-inch display, offering multiple test modes, including hyperbolic, fixed torque, and linear operation.
The Q-factor matches that of road bikes, providing natural pedaling dynamics, and the system is recognized for its reliable and reproducible performance across the full workload and RPM range.
Lode products meet high standards for quality and safety, are RoHS and WEEE compliant, certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016, and comply with MDD 93/42/EEC, including IEC 60601-1.
