Versatile ergometer
The Lode Excalibur Sport is an essential tool for sports medicine and research laboratories, suitable for testing all types of athletes. It supports a wide range of test protocols, including Wingate sprint tests, isokinetic tests, high-intensity tests (HIT), and time trials. It can also be used for CPET testing and bike fitting.
Pedal force measurement
The Excalibur Sport features built-in modified strain gauge technology to measure forces exerted on the pedals during exercise and includes angle detection. Forces are measured independently in the left and right cranks, with wireless transmission of data to a PC via Bluetooth.
Extreme workload range of 10–3000 watts
The exceptional peak workload makes the Excalibur Sport ideal for sports medicine applications and for testing elite athletes on anaerobic power or isokinetic capacity. Combined with a low starting workload of 10 watts, it accommodates users of all performance levels.
Left and right independent measurements
Pedal force measurement provides true independent left and right data, not just a summed value. This allows detection of asymmetries in pedal movement before and after surgery or across different workloads, making it a powerful diagnostic tool.
Measurement every 2 degrees
High accuracy throughout the pedal revolution is achieved through precisely positioned strain gauges in the crank axis, enabling force measurement every 2 degrees during each revolution.
